Formally established in 1946 but records show Kelantan Amateur Football Association already existed as early as 1889, the Kelantan FA is the oldest football team in the east coast of Malaysia .
In 1986, the Deputy Chief Minister of Kelantan , Datuk Haji Ahmad Haji Ahmad Maher Rastom leadership Kelantan football until 1990 . On January 18, 2008 , Kafa president Tan Sri Annuar Musa said that he would set up a football academy to train and highlight specific natural talent players under 13 years of state continuity of Kijang Emas Project initiated during primary school by the State Education Department . In terms of results , Kelantan FA Cup Runner -called Malaysia when they lost 1-3 to Negeri Sembilan FA in 2009 .
